Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-24
Aquafeel Solutions Carolina ("Aquafeel," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit aquafeelcarolina.com or request a free in-home water test, how we use that information, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors and customers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and any other state we serve.
1. Information We Collect
We collect two categories of information.
Information you provide directly
- Contact form and water-test request data: name, phone number, email address, service address, and any details you share about your water concerns.
- Information provided during a phone or in-home consultation (for example, water-test results, household size, or service preferences).
- Financing applications, if you choose to apply through a third-party lender referenced on our site. Those applications are submitted to the lender, not to Aquafeel, and are governed by the lender's own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics data through Google Analytics 4 (page views, referring URL, approximate location, device type, and similar non-identifying technical data).
- Session recordings and heatmaps through Microsoft Clarity, used to improve the site experience. Clarity does not collect personally identifiable information.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to remember preferences and measure site performance.
- Server logs (IP address, user-agent string, timestamp) collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.
2. How We Use Information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule your free in-home water test.
- To follow up about a quote, installation, warranty service, or scheduled maintenance.
- To send service reminders, occasional offers, or educational content if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by replying STOP to any text message.
- To improve site performance and content based on aggregated analytics.
- To comply with law and to protect the safety, rights, and property of customers, employees, and Aquafeel.
3. Third Parties Who Process Your Data
We rely on a small set of vendors to operate our website and follow up on service requests:
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics. Data is processed under Google's Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — session recording and heatmaps for UX improvement. No PII is captured.
- LeadConnector (HighLevel) — CRM, appointment scheduling, SMS, and email follow-up for service requests you submit. Data is processed under HighLevel's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — website hosting and content delivery. Vercel processes request logs in accordance with its Data Processing Agreement.
- Third-party financing partners, only if you choose to apply for financing. Those applications are submitted directly to the lender.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
4. Cookies
We use first-party and third-party cookies for analytics, basic functionality, and to remember language preference. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site (such as language toggle and form pre-fill) may not work as expected. The specific cookies set include those from Google Analytics 4 (prefixed _ga) and Microsoft Clarity (prefixed _clsk).
5. Data Retention
We retain service-request contact information for up to three (3) years after your last interaction with us, or longer where required by our warranty obligations or applicable law. Warranty-related records (installation date, equipment serial number, service history) are kept for the life of the warranty plus seven (7) years. Financial and accounting records are retained for seven (7) years in accordance with standard business practice. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics 4 is retained for 14 months per our GA4 account settings. When retention periods expire, we delete or anonymize the data.
6. Your Rights: North Carolina, South Carolina, and Other States
Depending on the state you live in, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to opt out of certain processing. North Carolina and South Carolina do not currently have a single comprehensive consumer-privacy statute equivalent to the California Consumer Privacy Act, but Aquafeel honors reasonable access and deletion requests from residents of any state we serve.
If you live in a state with a specific consumer-privacy law (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah), you may have additional rights including the right to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Aquafeel does not sell personal information and does not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 10 below. We will respond within 45 days or the period required by your state's law, whichever is shorter.
7. Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
8. Security
We use HTTPS sitewide and apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
